PREPARATIONS for the Melksham Community Christmas Day dinner are in full swing.
The free event, which has now moved to Queensway Chapel and Hall after nearly 15 years at the Assembly Hall, is offering a full three-course Christmas dinner on Christmas Day in a family atmosphere to anyone who would like to come.
Celebrations start at 11am on Christmas Day with carols and refreshments in Queensway Hall, and the meal at around 12.30pm in the chapel.
Rob and Jan Lloyd who are running the event said, “We are thrilled to be offering this popular service to Melksham again; we still have some spaces and would love to hear from anyone who wants to come.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who could help set up on Christmas Eve or clear down on Boxing Day, even if you can’t help on Christmas Day itself.
“You can contact us by email: queenswaychristmas@gmail.com; or call 07432 303105.”
The cost of the Christmas dinners has been covered by Core Church, Queensway Chapel and donations from local businesses and individuals – but donations are welcome if someone would like to make one.
