Broughton Gifford Piecemakers are hosting piecemakers quilt exhibition next month in the village and invite everyone to come along and see their work. The group would also welcome anyone who may be interested in joining them.
Sue Sunderland from the group says, “The Broughton Gifford Piecemakers are a friendly group of quilters and we meet every third Monday of the month.
“We always welcome new members whether you are a beginner or have been quilting for years. At our meetings we will have a variety of speakers come and tell us about their craft. Sometimes we will have a mini workshop or a sewing evening.
“Throughout the year we will have workshops related to quilting where you can learn a new skill or technique. We also have workdays where you bring the project you are working on and spend the day sewing. These are my favourite as you can see what everybody is doing, swap ideas and spend all day sewing.
“If you would like to see what we do, why don’t you come to our exhibition in March and see what we have been making? There will be refreshments and a sales table. We look forward to seeing some of you.”
The Broughton Gifford Piecemakers Quilt Exhibition will take place on Friday 27th March 4-8pm and Saturday 28th March 10.00-4.30pm at the Village Hall, The Street, Broughton Gifford SN12 8PN (behind the former Fox public house).
There is disabled access to the venue. Along with an exhibition of work will be trader stand, a sales table and refreshments. A raffle in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance will be held (the draw will take place at 4pm on the Saturday) Entrance is £3. For further details contact 07734 320548.
