DENES Quilting Group has donated a handmade quilt to Melksham Lions to help them raise money for their work in the community.
The group, who meet at Forest Community Centre, report, “At our meeting last month Phil and Glynis Gaskell from Melksham Lions were presented a quilt by Lesley Bastone on behalf of Denes Quilting Group. The quilt was made by each member making a block, which were then sewn together and kindly quilted by one of the members on her long arm quilting machine.
“The Lions will use it to raffle or auction and raise some money for one of the good causes they support.”
