SEMINGTON Football Club recently teamed up with Trowbridge Consortium to hold a Race Night, raising over £1,600 for the football team and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
The race night was held in Semington Village Hall and around 80 people attended. Chair of the football club Kevin Lockwood said, “It was a really good evening and everyone had a great time. To raise that amount of money as well is just fantastic.
“We’d like to say a big thank you to the sponsors; C&G Builders, Gooding Accounts, Protech Shocks, DJ Bewley, RK Plumbing, T&S Lux Electrical. Britannia Marquees and Meer Drylining.”
Unfortunately, the morning after the race night, Kevin discovered the sports field changing room had been broken into and sports equipment had been stolen. Kevin said, “It is a real shame that someone would do this. It’s very disappointing, especially after rasing all that money. Now we will have to spend it on replacing the equipment and not on the roof like we intended.”
