The Rainbow Day Centre for the elderly has been operating at the Riverside Club for over 30 years, and provides a much needed service for the community.
Philip Toop, on behalf of the centre said, “When we receive applications for a member to be considered for admission we are often told, ‘We didn’t know you existed’!
“We are now in urgent need of new Trustees and persons to serve on the committee, and if we cannot attract them, we may indeed not be here in the future if a member of your family should need this service. The duties are not too onerous – we usually have only four meetings a year.
“In order to provide the best service for our members, we need to reflect the needs of the community. If you have a real desire that our senior members should have access to the highest level of help in their later years, we would like to hear from you.
“We will be holding our annual general meeting on Monday 23rd March, at the Riverside Club, at 10.45am, and would welcome your attendance.”
