RAINBOW Day Centre is looking a new member of staff so they can continue to provide their services in the area.
Since 1981, Rainbow Day Centre has provided an opportunity for elderly people living in Melksham and District to meet on a Monday and Friday of each week for social activities, fun and games. The centre now has a need to appoint an Organiser so that this valuable work can continue in the future.
This is a paid role (please see the job advert on job vacancies page) and applications will be welcomed from those who are able to work either both Monday and Friday, or just one of the days.
As well as normal club sessions, they also arrange four outings during the year for members. This year trips included pub lunches at the New Forest and Lechlade, on the banks of the River Thames and a trip on the horse drawn barge on the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Rainbow meets at the Riverside Club in Bath Road (near Waitrose). Those considering applying for the post will be warmly welcomed to visit the centre to see how it operates. Further details and application form can be obtained by contacting 01225 708315.
Rainbow also has a small number of vacancies for members and similarly why not pop into the Riverside Club for a coffee on any Monday or Friday between 9.30am and 2.30pm and see if this facility is for you.
