LOCAL recruitment company, New Resource, has lent its support to Melksham Foodbank in time for Christmas.
The company, located in the Market Place, has donated 100 food parcels to the local charity, and made a financial donation to its ‘Crisis Fund’.
Business development executive of New Resource Recruitment, Samantha Field said, “As a local business based in Melksham, New Resource Recruitment are honoured to provide support to businesses across Wiltshire with their staffing needs, as well as assisting candidates with temporary and permanent employment opportunities.
“After the unprecedented year we have all been faced with, New Resource Recruitment wanted to also provide support to the community and therefore are delighted to work with Melksham Foodbank by providing Christmas food bags and financial support to families in crisis.
“Melksham Foodbank has seen an almost doubling of demand during this year of lockdown due to Covid-19 precautions. Thankfully, there has been a corresponding increase in donations, of both food and finance, from the local community – businesses, schools, churches, local authorities and individuals.”
A spokesperson from Melksham Foodbank said, “It is especially encouraging to see recent additions to the local business community, such as New Resource Recruitment, joining this effort, and we are very grateful for your generosity in contributing 100 bags of food ahead of Christmas 2020.
“This is a time of year when we traditionally see a significant increase in family need. We are also thankful to New Resource Recruitment and other contributors for the additional financial support to our associated Crisis Fund. All of this strengthens our ability to relieve some of the stress felt by families at a time of year when financial concerns create a very heavy burden. On behalf of the Foodbank Team, and especially our clients, thank you!”
New Resource Recruitment is also one of the sponsors of the town’s Christmas tree in the Market Place.
