Helping Hands Home Care is celebrating its 30th birthday across May and June.
As part of the celebration, the Chippenham branch has opened ample vacancies in and around Melksham and the surrounding areas.
Since Helping Hands was opened in 1989 it has been providing people with care at home for every one of those 30 years. Initially set up in a small town in Warwickshire, Helping Hands has grown to having over 95 branches nationwide, and currently supports over 5,000 people to stay at home on a daily basis.
The company’s longest standing carer, Mandy Bayliss, explains what it’s like to support a customer that she has been working with for 16 years saying, “It is an absolute pleasure to look after my customers. Our visits these days are more like catch-ups between old friends than care calls.
“I see first-hand the benefit that she feels by having someone there to support her; it means the world to her that she can be independent at home.”
Victoria Gibbs-Blower, the branch manager for Helping Hands Chippenham and Swindon said, “We are looking for driven, caring and compassionate people to come and work with us.
“We have lots of opportunities in Melksham, Chippenham, Swindon, Bath and the surrounding areas. We offer flexible hours and competitive rates of pay and would love to be able to support more people in our local area to get the care they need to stay at home, comfortably and independently.”
Helping Hands is hosting a recruitment event where they would love to meet local people wanting to make a difference.
You can drop by and meet the team on Thursday 4th July at Melksham Assembly Hall, between 10am – 1pm for an informal chat. If you have any questions or would like some more information you can contact Victoria at victoria.gibbs-blower@ helpinghands.co.uk
