THE Melksham family of the late Michelle Phillips – who was tragically killed in a car accident in Devon, when she was aged 26 – are inviting people to join them at a special remembrance service for road traffic victims.
The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims service, organised by national charity RoadPeace, will be held on Sunday 17th November at the Guildhall in Bath at 11am.
The charity RoadPeace says, “This ceremony is to acknowledge all lives lost and broken in the Southwest. It will be followed by a short procession to the memorial stone in St James Gardens, Lower Borough Walls, for the laying of flowers.
“The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is commemorated on the third Sunday of November each year – to remember the many millions killed and injured on the world’s roads, together with their families, friends and the many others who are also affected.
“It is also an opportunity to thank the emergency services, medical professionals and others who deal daily with the traumatic aftermath of road death and injury.”
