SEMINGTON resident, John Phillips, has captured the moment a steeplejack braved the dizzy heights of the spire at Christ Church in Shaw, as restoration work continues.
Work is being carried out to replace existing shingles that cover the spire with new oak shingles, after it was identified that the spire posed a health and safety hazard.
The work has been made possible by fundraising in the community and by the church, and is expected to be completed within a month.
