A CHRISTMAS Fete held at St Mary’s School, Broughton Gifford, raised £1,000 towards enhancements to the school’s woodland area.
The school reports, “It was hosted by our brand- new PTA, The Friends of St Mary’s School, and was really well attended by all members of the community.
“It raised over £1,000 which is being put towards the creation of a new entrance archway and improved accessibility to the school’s onsite woodland, which is used by the children for forest school activities.
“The money was raised through selling raffle tickets, games, tombolas, a wonderfully festive Santa’s grotto and a very popular ‘splat the teachers’ event.”
