Shaw and Whitley Preschool has celebrated its 40th birthday.
Staff said, “Yes, it really is 40 years that Shaw and Whitley Preschool has been preparing local children for school – that’s not just before the current children were born, but their mums, dads and possibly grandparents too!
“To celebrate this milestone, over 100 present and past children, staff and committee members gathered at The Beeches in Shaw for a grand barbecue on 5th July. It was a lovely relaxed sunny afternoon and, with Alan and James keeping the hot dogs and burgers coming, it turned into a glorious occasion enjoyed by all.
“Special 40th anniversary balloons had been printed for the event, which proved to be a great hit with the current preschool children as you can see from the photo.”
