AN original pantomime, written by a member of Melksham’s Singin’ Group, raised £200 for the Ukraine appeal.

Singin’ Group member, Sue Mortimer reports, “During lockdown, Jeanette Nash wrote a pantomime, ‘A Handful of Beans’, which the group performed at the Riverside to members of the Singin’ Group.
“A big thank you to Jeanette for her effort in producing the panto, which brought enjoyment to performers and audience alike! The panto song was, ‘The more we are together, the happier we will be!’ This has always been the case and after lockdown, is very true.
“The biggest round of applause went to Jeanette for writing and producing the show, as well as playing the part of mother. The sum of £200 was raised for the Ukraine Appeal.”
