Slimmer stays committed to keeping at her target weight with Slimming World

A local Slimming World member started her slimming journey back in 2012 and has found the classes the perfect way to keep to her target weight.

“Liz started her slimming journey in 2012 with Slimming World by committing to a course of six weeks knowing that she would need to attend a group when she started seasonal work on a holiday park in North Devon,” explains local Melksham consultant, Kathy.

“Liz knew that Slimming World offered classes all over the country so a move to Devon was no excuse not to attend a class. Liz joined groups in both Melksham and Ilfracombe attending regular weekly meetings and quickly learned how to lose weight by following the ‘Food Optimising’ healthy eating plan.

“Her active lifestyle on site at the holiday park meant that Body Magic (Slimming World’s keeping active plan) was easily incorporated into the overall Slimming World healthy lifestyle plan. Liz found that her regular attendance at the group was the key to her losing the one and half stone that she dreamed of.

“However, Liz continued to attend the Ilfracombe group and with the help and support of her Slimming World consultant decided to lose another half stone and achieved her two stone total weight loss at the end of August 2012.

“13 years later, Liz has maintained her weight loss and attends the Melksham Guide Hut Friday group as a target member offering support and encouragement to other members and helping at class on the social team.”

Liz said, “I always learn something new every time I attend and stay to group as it keeps me motivated to keep my weight at Target. It’s such a good feeling being target member and knowing that I’ve learned to control my weight.”

Kathy added, “The benefits of losing weight for Liz have been dropping two dress sizes and feeling happier and healthier when looking in the mirror. Liz recommends Slimming World to anyone who wants to lose weight – Food Optimising is easy and nothing is off limits. Classes are held on Thursdays at 5:30pm and Fridays 9am or 10:30am. Alternative classes are held at Bowerhill Village Hall with Matt on Monday afternoon/evenings and Berryfield Village Hall with Claire on Tuesday afternoons.
