MELKSHAM Choral Society is hosting an evening of entertainment in the Rachel Fowler Centre on Thursday 30th June at 7.30pm.
“The summer term brings out the lighter side of the choir,” reports the group. “The evening will feature medleys from ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Oliver’. And it will include items by groups and individuals performing songs, old and new, from the shows.”
“The choir celebrated springtime with a very enjoyable folk-based concert in April which was well attended. The retiring collection raised more than £138 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance; a big thank you goes to those who donated.
“As always, after their Spring Concert, the society holds its AGM and the chairman, Sue Lamprell, is looking forward to another year of choral singing in Melksham. Watch out for an Italian flavoured concert later in the year.”
