A social group in Melksham has raised vital funds for the Royal United Hospital’s cancer appeal at a fun Chocolate Bingo evening.
Sparklers raised £542.40 for the RUHX Cancer Appeal, which supports the Dyson Centre at the hospital, which brings together cancer services under one roof, including research, technology, oncology, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
“It was an amazing evening and we would like to thank everybody that came and supported us, either by playing bingo or giving us a donation of chocolate or a donation of money,” said Kay Perry, member of Sparklers, a social group based at the Melksham Baptist Church on Old Broughton Road. The group meets every Monday mornings from 9.30am-11.30am and offers a chance to have a chat and do gentle exercise to music.
