If you haven’t yet seen the current exhibition at the Art House Cafe, please make a point of visiting, says organiser Pattie Lockett.
“Four talented local artists are exhibiting: John Hughes, whose paintings are bright and colourful with subjects ranging from sea and landscapes to natural subjects such as animals and flowers; husband and wife, Alan and Sarah Padwick whose work is well known locally and nationally and who also excel at landscapes, animal subjects portraits; also we welcome back Rosemary Knott whose preferred medium is watercolour, although she also paints in oils, both landscapes and still life.
“All four choose similar subjects, but their approach and styles are very different. Come along and see what you think, while enjoying a hot drink, cakes or even a home-cooked meal.
“Lacock Art Group will be back with us next month and we know we can look forward to a very interesting and varied exhibition from their talented artists.
“All commission on sales, and profit from the cafe kitchen go to the Rotary Club of Melksham’s fund for local charities.
“We are very grateful to all the local artists who are willing to exhibit their work at the cafe. Prices are very reasonable so this is an opportunity to purchase a painting and donate to charity at the same time. We look forward to seeing you.”
The cafe is in the Market Place, between the Town Hall and Melksham News office.
