It’s that time of year when thoughts turn to re-stocking our gardens and what better place to start than the plant sale organised by the Churches of Atworth and Shaw.
After ‘lying fallow’ last year the plant sale is back by popular request and promises to have plenty of plants to stock up your garden. It will be held at Shaw School Hall on Saturday 10th May from 10.00am to 12.30pm.
When you’ve got all your plants you can enjoy a fresh brew of tea or coffee and browse the stalls including home-made cakes, quality second hand books and “Trash and Treasure” as well as a raffle.
Dianne Briggs said, “At Christ Church, Shaw we have been busy raising funds for a toilet and tea station in the church. We are grateful to Bath Choir, CitySound and their conductor Ruth McKibbin for helping our fundraising efforts by performing a concert in the church on Saturday 24th May.
“Continuing the springtime theme, the concert is called ‘Spring into Song’ and will also feature special guests Enceladus with their conductor Tom Whitfield. CitySound is an exciting new choir based in Bath with a wide repertoire including classical, sacred, jazz, folk and spiritual. It’s an evening not to be missed.”
