AFTER a long hiatus, St Mary’s Art Group is hosting a free exhibition this month.
The exhibition will be held at Holt Village Hall on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September.
Organisers say, “It is with much excitement that St Mary’s Art Group are at last putting together their first exhibition since 2019.
“We are very much looking forward to giving you an interesting and enjoyable event to visit over the weekend 25th and 26th this September.
“The exhibition will take place at Holt Village Hall, The Street, Holt, BA14 6QH, opening times 11am to 4pm on Saturday and 11 am to 3.30pm on Sunday.
“There will be an exciting selection of original artworks on display for purchase or just simply to view, along with prints and a fantastic range of cards as well.
“Drawing activities will be available to keep the kiddies amused and hot and cold drinks and delicious homemade cakes will be served throughout. Admission is free.
“This group of enthusiastic artists would meet every Tuesday morning at St Mary’s Church Hall, Hilperton. Evidently, with the arrival of Covid this had not been the case but to keep morale and creativity going, members of the group came up with various challenges to encourage the artists to keep those brushes out.
“This was great fun and produced some really interesting pieces of art. Alongside these challenges, some artists turned the time at home into an opportunity to explore new techniques, media or subjects, with fantastic results.
“Since the relaxing of Covid restrictions, the group are once again meeting up every Tuesday morning as before.”
