Sue Ryder charity is holding their Christmas fundraising event on Saturday 29th November at 2.00pm, when Santa and his sleigh will arrive at Buds Bar in Melksham.
There will be a Santa’s grotto where the children can have a chat with Santa, receive a present and have a photo taken with him – the photo can be collected the following Saturday from the Sue Ryder shop in the High Street, costing £3.50 per child.
There will be a tombola, a new goods table showing Sue Ryder’s range of gift ideas and Christmas treats; guess the number of sweets in a jar, guess the name of the Christmas bear, lucky dip, sweet stall and much much more.
Shop manager, Tracey Winslow said, “Please join us and get in the festive mood! All proceeds will go straight to our Sue Ryder charity where we provide specialist medical care and end-of-life care for cancer, dementia, Motor Neurone disease, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, brain injury and stroke.
“We value your support and every penny goes to help those suffering and their families.
“Huge thanks go to Lesley and Steve in Buds for giving us the opportunity of holding our event there free of charge. We hope it will be a success for all of us. Buds will be serving hot drinks, cakes and snacks for you to purchase. The event will finish at 5.00pm. We look forward to seeing you all.”
