IT has been a busy start to the year for local teenage indie band, The Sunnies, who have been in the studio recording new songs, including their latest single Chasing Dreams which was released on Apple Music and Spotify on Wednesday 24th April.
Coming up, the Sunnies are heading out on an ‘exciting new venture’, travelling to London to record some new material, with more things in the pipeline including, at the end of this summer, headlining at the Melksham Food and River Festival.
They have also been booked to play alongside the Wurzels at the upcoming Trowfest and are playing at Party in the City in Bath over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Last year, after the band came first in the Battle of the Bands competition in Chippenham, they soared to top of local festival line-ups performing at Chippenham Pride and on the main stages at the Minety Festival, where Scouting for Girls also performed, and at the Nibley Festival.
They went on to perform at Melksham Food and River Festival and the Christmas Lights switch on event in the town centre.
“Recently, they also headlined at The Pump in Trowbridge, have played at The Three Horseshoes in Bradford-on-Avon and will be playing at the Chippenham Teen Take Over at the end of this month,” says a spokesperson for the band.
