MELKSHAM Assembly Hall is set to host a series of exciting live shows in the run up to Christmas with top-quality musicians and comedians scheduled to appear.
Once again, Melksham’s entertainment hub provides a jam-packed programme which includes two of the biggest groups from the 60s and 70s – The Searchers and The Bay City Rollers, together with top tributes to The Jersey Boys and David Bowie.
60s pop sensation The Searchers bring their special ‘solo’ concert to Melksham on 22nd November. Get ready to sing and dance along to hits such as, Sweets For My Sweet, Don’t Throw Your Love Away, Sugar and Spice and many more.
And on 24th November, Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers will have you out of your seats and dancing in the aisles with hits such as Bye Bye Baby, All Of Me, Give A Little More, plus many more.
They lead a host of big names coming to the Assembly Hall over the coming months with The Three Degrees and Barron Knights also planned for March and April next year.
The November entertainment kicks off this Friday with the Comedy Showcase featuring Mark Olver and Paul McCaffrey.
Mark Olver is a stand-up comedian and television warm-up artist. His television warm-up credits include 8 Out of 10 Cats, 10 o’clock Live and Have I Got News For You. Paul McCaffrey regularly tours around the country and appears on television shows such as Impractical Jokers, Russell Howard’s Good News and Stand Up Central.
Following them is The Ultimate Jersey Boys Tribute, Sherry Babys, which takes to the stage on Friday 18th November performing classic hits such as Rag Doll, Walk Like A Man and Workin My Way Back To You.
Comedian Mark Steel brings his newest stand up show, Who Do I Think I Am to the Assembly Hall on Thursday 8th December, followed by the UK’s No.1 David Bowie Tribute, Pop-Up Bowie on Friday 16th December and Train to Skaville presenting Skanta’s Christmas Party on Friday 23rd December.
