WORK has begun this week to make improvements to the town centre’s bridge in Bath Road – but town centre businesses want to emphasise that the bridge remains open to northbound traffic.
Access to the town centre via the bridge will be closed to southbound traffic for the next three months, until Tuesday 5th May.
The works are taking place to allow work to be carried out on pavement kerbing and to install pedestrian barriers on the bridge.
Bath Road (A3102) will be closed southbound from its junction with New Broughton Road (A3102) for a distance of approximately 110 metres in a southerly direction. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
