ACCESS to the town centre via the bridge on Bath Road, will be closed to southbound traffic from next month for three months.
The closure is taking place to allow work to be carried out on pavement kerbing and to install pedestrian barriers on the bridge.
Bath Road (A3102) will be closed southbound from its junction with New Broughton Road (A3102) for a distance of approximately 110 metres in a southerly direction. Work will take place from Monday 10th February until Tuesday 5th May – the closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Council says, “It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete, depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.”
