MELKSHAM Townswomen’s Guild have been able to resume their monthly meetings after having to postpone them due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Our members were delighted to return to our face-to-face monthly meeting in August after such a long break due to the pandemic,” said Chairman Tricia Hoy. “Alison Williams gave an origami demonstration of Kusudama, a medicine ball to hold pot-pourri and is a symbol of good health and happiness. We all had a go at folding one section. Why does it look so easy when someone else does it?
“At our September meeting we had a demonstration from a member of the St John Ambulance. He covered CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and how to use a defibrillator, so a very useful talk but we all agreed we hope no one will need to put it into action.
“The next meeting will be the November meeting on the 12th with a talk from Dave Crisp about metal detecting. Visitors and new members are always welcome to our friendly group.”
