Tractor Ted will be hosting his Big Machines Weekend at Bowood House over the second May Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 23rd May to Monday 25th May, 11.00am-5.00pm each day.
Young fans of the Tractor Ted books and DVDs will have the chance to see a range of real life farm machinery provided by CLAAS UK on display and in action, including the combine harvester, the square and round balers, the plough and the telehandler. It’s every little boy’s dream.
There will also be a vintage tractor displays, a Digger Display with Digger Dave, tractor and trailer rides around the Bowood estate with an ‘eye-spy’ farming game on board and the Tractor Ted bouncy castle.
In the Tractor Ted Little Farm barn, children will be able to see and handle lots of animals including the calves and lambs, hens and chicks and they can watch incubating eggs and play with friendly guinea pigs and rabbits at regular times throughout the day.
There is a real life Tractor Ted for little ones to play on and they can let off steam riding around the tractor track, digging on the mini diggers or bouncing around the animal play houses. They can take part in the Tractor Ted Big Machines Trail or check out the raised vegetable beds where children can see the most common farm crops being grown, such as wheat, barley and maize.
Admission to the Tractor Ted Big Machines Weekend is free with Bowood House & Grounds ticket or season pass, so you get entry into the Adventure Castle (up to 12 years), Bowood House and the Gardens too! This really is the perfect day out for all the family. Tractor and trailer rides cost £2 per person over two years and the bouncy castle costs £1 per bounce.
