MELKSHAM Town Council has proposed that the direction of traffic in Union Street be reversed to improve traffic flow.
Currently traffic flows one-way down Union Street from where it meets with Bath Road/Bank Street to where it meets with Lowbourne. Proposed by cllr Jon Hubbard, the town council has agreed to make a request to the Melksham Community Area Transport Group, to explore reversing the direction of traffic in Union Street and whether a ‘left turn only’ onto Bank Street could be implemented.
