On Mondays to Fridays, a connecting train leaves Paddington at 20:45, Swindon at 21:45, and Bristol Temple Meads at 21:50. and on Saturdays at 20:30 from Paddington, 21:30 from Swindon and 21:47 from Bristol. (Saturday trains a few minutes earlier for the next two weekends).
This 22:26 bus, from Chippenham Railway Station operates Monday to Saturday only. On Sunday, your last return from Swindon in the train at 19:53 (18:33 connection from Paddington /19:00 connection from Bristol Temple Meads).
Graham Ellis, of TransWilts Community Rail Partnership said, “This may just seem like a small step, but it illustrates the new era in public transport co-operation between the community, the train operating company, bus operators, and Wiltshire Council. And it’s another significant improvement for Swindon commuters and visitors to London who may be returning to Melksham late into the evening, or who need a fallback service to be available to them if they have to work late.”
