MELKSHAM town councillor, Andy Hinchcliffe, has died at the age of 68.
He died at his home on September 27th.
Andy served as a member of Melksham Town Council from May 2013.
Mayor of Melksham, cllr Adrienne Westbrook said, “I am deeply saddened by Andy’s untimely death. He was a very hardworking town councillor, with lots of energy and an expert on planning, which was a great asset to the council.
“We are grateful for his significant and valued contribution, which stands as a lasting tribute to his memory.
“The town council sends its deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences to Andy’s family at this sad time.”
Andy was also described as a fervent Bristol City supporter.
The funeral service will be held at West Wiltshire Crematorium, Semington on Thursday 12th October, at 10.45am. Donations can be made in memory of Andy for the Bath RUH Critical Care Unit, care of DJ Bewley Funeral Directors.
