Triplets from Holt, Beau, Albie, and Judie Howland, recently completed a fundraising ‘Tripathlon’ for BBC Children in Need, raising over £1,000.
The triplets, who are seven years old, took on the ‘Howland Tripathlon’ after being inspired by watching TV and radio personality Paddy McGuinness complete an endurance cycling challenge for Children in Need.
Each triplet did a different sport with the support of their two mums, Chloe and Amy. Beau swam 60 lengths in under an hour, Albie completed a 20k cycle in 1hr 20 mins, and Judie completed a 10km run in 1hr and 20 mins.
“They are only seven years old and all did really well, we were all a bit emotional at the end of the day,” explained Chloe.
The triplets, who go to Corsham Primary School, all take part in Melksham parkrun every Sunday and are members of a local swimming club.
“They are very active children and after the event they then went to a trampoline party in the afternoon!” says Chloe. “This is definitely the start of more fundraising. Together, they are showing the world that no one is too young to make an impact.”
