AT Melksham’s ClimateFest, the Gardeners’ Society had a good result from selling house plants and obtained 20 new email addresses that hopefully will turn into new members.
Looking ahead to next year, Barbara Cropp, chair of the group, said, “I am in the process of booking speakers for 2023 and as soon as I have a reasonable calendar, I will publish the topics and speakers. We are hoping to have a couple of coach trips; and we will advise on these closer to the dates. There will be one in May and another in July.
The group are also looking ahead to their Christmas meeting which is on the 29th November, and as usual will be open to all members. For new members, this is free, and you can have a mince pie and a glass of glögg, which is an alcoholic hot Swedish toddy. The cost of joining the group is £10 per person to take you up to and including March 2023.
