Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses to an altercation between three people on King Street in Melksham on Saturday 3rd October.
The incident happened around 10.00pm involving two women and a man (one of the women is pregnant). An assault took place during the altercation.
A 30 year old man from Melksham was arrested the following day (Sunday 4th October) on suspicion of common assault and released on conditional bail.
PC David Townsend from Wiltshire Police said, “We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen something suspicious around this time on this date.
“Also at the same time there was a car parked next to the three people, facing towards Semington Road. If you saw the car and can describe it please come forward too.
“King Street is often used by motorists as nearby Spa Road is closed at the moment and I am hoping that a passing driver or pedestrian may have witnessed the incident or part of it.
“If you can help please call me on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
