THE local vaccine programme has celebrated delivering over 30,000 Covid jabs to the community. As of the end of April, the Melksham and Bradford on Avon Primary Care Network had delivered 19,558 first doses and 11,100 second doses – a total of 30,658.
“This is a tremendous achievement, to get over the 30,000 mark,” said a spokesperson for the PCN’s vaccine roll out speaking to Melksham News. “We would like to thank all the clinical and non-clinical workforce for their efforts getting this off the ground.
“And we’d like to thank the community and the town council for their support. “And a big shout-out to Ray and his team at Spencer’s – they have supported us through and through.”
Clinical and non-clinical volunteers celebrated the massive milestone on Friday 7th May at Spencer Sports and Social Club, which has been home to the local vaccine roll out since its launch in December.
