Local residents in Seend will have the perfect opportunity to find out about many of the clubs and organisations in the village, as well as enjoying an end-of-summer barbecue and bar on Friday 4th September, from 6pm at Seend Community Centre,
There will be representatives from sports clubs, the Lye Field, the WI, Theatre Club, Wine Circle, Poetry Group, the regular art class, Friends of Seend School, Panto group, church groups and more – and you can try your hand at zumba, hula-hooping and short mat bowls. All music played during the evening will be from artists who have performed at Seend Acoustic Club. Come along and see what this active village has to offer.
Grand Quiz Night
Our regular quiz masters Graham Hickman and Tony Daly challenge teams of up to four at a Grand Quiz Night in Seend Community Centre, Rusty Lane, Seend SN12 6NS at 7.45pm on Saturday 5th September. WEA Day School
On Saturday 19th September, from 10.30am-4.30pm, Seend Community Centre’s upstairs room hosts a WEA Day School on the subject of ‘The Vienna Secession’, the group of mould-breaking artists (including Gustav Klimt) that was at the forefront of modern art at the turn of the 20th century.
