HOLT Sports & Recreation Committee (HSRC) is holding a 24-hour tennis marathon to raise money for charity.
The ‘Holt Moon Tennis’ event starts at noon this Friday 21st June and ends at noon on Saturday 22nd June.
The group is aiming to raise £3,000 for Parkinson’s UK, the national charity that offers information and support to people affected by the disease. The charity also funds research into new and better treatments for Parkinson’s.
Chair of HSRC, Gilly Andrew said, “Players of all abilities and ages are welcome to take part in the event. People can book a slot of one hour and more and can play in a singles or doubles match – individuals, pairs and groups are all welcome to register. We already have players from Holt, Bradford on Avon, Melksham, local schools, and the local youth club registered to play – but we need more!
“We would also welcome people to come along and support us as we play – come and help us on our way!”
