SHAW C of E Primary School are looking for two committed local governors to join their governing body.
The governing body acts as the strategic leaders of the school, holding the principal and senior leaders to account. Acting as a critical friend, the governing body ensures that children within the school are safeguarded and continue to make excellent progress.
Chair of Governors, Paul Berry said, “The essential qualities that a local governor must possess are: commitment to attend four to six meetings a year (in the evening) and visit the school two to three times a year; computer literate, basic email and access to MS Word; a keen interest in supporting the local community and children’s education; and enthusiasm and a team player.
“It’s a great time to join the governing body here at Shaw. Building on a recent Good Ofsted rating, the school is in an exciting position to continue improving and supporting the young people who attend Shaw. As a local governor, you can have a direct impact upon key strategic decisions whilst feeling part of our fantastic, motivated team.”
