WAITROSE are pleased to announce their headline sponsorship of the Melksham Food and Drink Festival for 2014.
The Festival features two delicious days this year. Saturday 14th June is Littlefest, a day of samples, tasters, activities and events in the Littlebrook Centre just outside Waitrose, from 10.00am to 3.00pm. All the Littlebrook businesses will be involved, including Candy Jax, Honeys, Waitrose, Andy York Photography and CJ’s Cafe.
Sunday 15th June features the highly popular Food Festival Fayre in the grounds of Melksham House from 11.00am to 4.00pm. With an abundance of stalls selling hot and cold food, cooking demonstrations, live animals from Dave and Ewe, a bouncy castle and face painting for the children, the day promises to have something for everyone.
Waitrose manager Fiona Orwin said, “We are really excited to be involved with the Food Festival this year. We are keen to get involved in the local community, especially when it comes to food and drink, which we take great pride in.
“We have just secured an additional £410 for Melksham Food and Drink Festival through our Community Matters scheme which is great news, and shows that the Food and Drink Festival is something the community really values.”
There are still a few spaces for stalls left so if groups or businesses would like the opportunity to showcase at the Festival Fayre, get in touch with the town hall on 01225 704187 or email foodfestival@melkshamtown.co.uk.
