TO mark 100 years since the end of the Great War, medical staff at the Melksham Leg & Wellness Club dressed up as nurses from the First World War.
Clinical lead and advanced nurse practitioner, Tina Symons, told Melksham News, “We are remembering not only the people that lost their lives to give us our freedom, but also all those medical staff – nurses, doctors and orderlies – who went into the field to try and save lives and make it a better place for the soldiers and their families.”
The Melksham Leg & Wellness Club meets every Thursday at Spencer Sport and Social Club on Beanacre Road. The club provides medical help and social meetings for people with lower leg problems. Members are able to receive treatment from NHS nurses and then spend social time with other members and friends.
No appointment is necessary to attend, you can drop-in and wait to be seen every Thursday from 9.00am until 11.30am at Spencer Sport and Social Club.
