THERE’S an exciting line-up planned for the weeks ahead at Melksham’s Assembly Hall with an Adele tribute act, a boogie wonderland disco, a silent disco, and the monthly table top sale.
On Saturday 28th May, the Assembly Hall plays host to Hometown Glory: A Tribute to Adele.
Organisers say, “Voted the best Adele tribute two years running at the National Tribute Music Awards, Natalie Black aka ‘Hometown Glory’ is bringing her breath-taking act to the Assembly Hall.
“Natalie has toured the world performing Adele’s music and audiences are left spellbound by her rich and soulful voice, replica costumes, and a natural likeness that will leave you wondering if you’ve seen the real thing!”
On Thursday 2nd June, kick off your Jubilee celebrations with top local DJ Mister M at the Assembly Hall for Boogie Wonderland, a night of classic disco, soul and funk from the ‘70s and ‘80s.
Organisers say, “Fancy dress is highly recommended! Come down early, bring your boogie shoes and have some fun with us to get in the mood for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend.”
Also for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the Assembly Hall will be hosting a Royal Silent Disco on Saturday 4th June.
Organisers Panda Events say, “Let’s dress up and celebrate all together! Grab those headsets, flick that switch, cut some shapes and be prepared to sing your heads off. With three channels of music to choose from, it’s time to overindulge in the latest charts, pop classics, anthems of the decade, and house and techno mashups.”
On Tuesday 7th June, from 10am to 4pm, the new monthly table top sale returns to the Assembly Hall.
Organisers say, “Clothing, toys, books, records, bric-a-brac, you name it, you’ll find it at our table top sale, running the first Tuesday of every month at the hall. To book a table email: bruce. burry@melksham-tc.gov.uk; or call 01225 704187.”
Also coming up in the months ahead is Melksham Pride Festival on Sunday 12th June; the British Cactus & Succulent Society Annual Show on Saturday 18th June; and One Love Reggae Night on Friday 1st July.
