The Wiltshire Wonders skittles team has again qualified for the finals of the British Skittles Championships taking place later this month.
The team has impressive form at the competition, having been crowned men’s champions in 2014 and 2017 and were runners up in 2011.
The team who play out of Seend Community Centre, won four out of their six matches in the regional rounds to book their place in Torquay on September 21. All eyes will be on them as the only Wiltshire team to qualify this year.
The tournament is organised by Serious About Events who stage the annual competition at Torquay’s Riviera Centre. Around 150 teams from all over England and Wales compete in a series of group rounds, with 64 teams qualifying for the finals. More than 1,000 players and spectators are expected to fill the Centre for a long day of competition with the presentations at around 10 pm.
