Two children from The Manor Primary School have had their artwork selected to represent Melksham in this year’s South West in Bloom Children’s Painting Competition.
Over 80 children across Melksham submitted entries in the theme of ‘Blooming Biodiversity in my Community.’ The winners who will represent the town with their artwork are Evie McCoombe in the aged up to 6 years old category, and Yeva Kaplur in the age seven to 11 category.
“Paintings were of a very high standard, making it a difficult job for us judges,” said local resident and volunteer, Sue Mortimer. “Congratulations to both winners and well done to all the children that took part. Your paintings will be displayed in the Campus library.”
The two paintings will now go forward to be judged by the South West in Bloom judges.
