Young people in Melksham will have the chance to learn how to create their own picnics at a workshop at the Riverside Centre.
The free event next month is aimed at children aged eight to 13 years old and their parents or carers. It will provide an opportunity for young people to ‘think outside the box’ when it comes to making a picnic.
Chair of the Riverside Centre, Chris Pickett, said, “When you are going out for a summer walk and you want to take some food with you, what do you think of? Maybe sandwiches or a pie from the local shop, maybe a mixed salad from the supermarket. How would you like to add a few quirky ideas to your next venture?
“The ladies involved in the workshop have some tasty treats which participants can easily take home with them at the end of the session.”
The sessions will run on 7th and 20th August from 10am, with coffee and biscuits.
It would help with numbers and catering if you could ring 07493 310755 to register your interest. Alternatively, email treasurer@theriverside.org.uk.
