PEOPLE in Melksham and the surrounding area who are looking for their first job or moving on to the next step in their careers, are being encouraged to attend a jobs and training fair being held in the town.
Opportunity Melksham takes place on 15th March from 10.00am to 6.00pm at Melksham Assembly Hall. All are welcome to attend the event where there will be unprecedented levels of help, support and guidance for those looking to find work in both the local area and further afield. A whole host of businesses will be exhibiting throughout the day from Center Parcs and Leekes to Goughs Solicitors and Army Careers. The event provides an ideal opportunity for people to speak to a variety of businesses to find out what career options are available.
As well as exhibitors there will also be a number of seminars taking place from a variety of organisations including the Federation of Small Businesses, Pillow May and the University of South Wales.
Jon Hubbard, Chair of Melksham Area Board and Melksham Extended Services who are organising the event said, “This will be an incredibly beneficial event for those who are perhaps not sure which career path to choose or looking for a change. Regardless of people’s circumstances or age, help and advice will be available.
“We have a huge number of businesses attending from all different sectors with a variety of expertise so I hope people come along and get everything they can out of it.”
Opportunity Melksham is being organised and funded by Melksham Extended Services with support from Melksham Area Board, Melksham Town Council, Wiltshire Council, Bailey Employment Services and Wiltshire Enterprise Training and Development.
