Bowerhill Residents Action Group (BRAG) would like to thank all those who came and gave their time and effort at the Litter Pick event recently organised as part of the Great British Spring Clean.
24 bags of litter were collected, and the Keep Britain Tidy team contacted BRAG to say to those residents ‘Thank you for taking part and making a real difference in your local community – every piece of litter counts!’
The Annual General Meeting of BRAG will be held on Tuesday 14th May at the Bowerhill Village Hall at 7.30pm. All Bowerhill residents are invited to attend. A report will be given on the activities of BRAG over the past year and the accounts will be available for inspection. Plans for the coming year will be detailed so if any residents have any issues / ideas that they want BRAG to consider, please come along and let us know.
BRAG has again entered their picnic area next to the canal in the ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ section of the South West Britain in Bloom competition and hope to build on their ‘Outstanding’result in previous years.
BRAG has also entered Bowerhill in the Campaign to Protect Rural England?’s Best Kept Village 2019 competition. Judging will take place in early summer. Last year, Bowerhill came joint 2nd in the West Wiltshire category, so BRAG would like to ask all residents to please keep our village tidy to try and improve on this. Just by clearing any litter they see would be a great help, as well as all dog owners clearing up after their pets.
