Seend Fawlty Players’ 35th annual village panto is their own original version of ‘Dick Whittington and his Cat’.
This panto will be held in Seend Community Centre on 20th, 21st and 22nd February (7.30pm on Thursday and Friday and 7.00pm on Saturday). There will be plenty of chances for audience participation – oh yes there will! Some of the current cast were involved in that first panto back in 1980. Others have literally grown up with Seend pantomimes.
Over the years, the Players have raised several thousands of pounds for local organisations and charities. This year the main recipients will be Children’s Hospice South West and Revival (a Trowbridge charity that supports adults who were abused as children). A donation will also be made to Seend School towards their new staging. Tickets for the panto (£5 or £3 for children and pensioners) are now on sale in Seend Shop/PO, Seend Community Centre and the Brewery Inn in Seend Cleeve.
