This month’s exhibition by local artists includes two landscape painters: John Hughes and Daniel Dix, and two whose work is more abstract: Kay Ames and Adrian Catchpole.
John and Daniel have both exhibited at the cafe before and their paintings of rural scenes were greatly appreciated.
Kay, who has also exhibited with us previously, works with textiles and coloured paper to produce small abstract designs with a slightly oriental theme.
Adrian, who is new to the gallery, has really brightened up the space with his large, colourful abstract paintings of stripes and geometric shapes.
Organisers say, “Sales of paintings from the gallery, as well as the coffee, cakes and delicious lunches, all contribute to the funds raised by the Rotary Club and donated to local charities. Come in and enjoy a drink or a meal in the friendly atmosphere of the cafe, and help us raise the next £100,000!”
