Mayor, cllr Adrienne Westbrook, officially unveiled a plaque on the tree in the Market Place, planted to celebrate the 80th birthday of the Townwomen’s Guild.
The silver birch replaces the original tree planted in 2009, which was removed because of the Market Place redevelopment. The plaque reads, “This tree, planted in 2017 is to replace the original tree for the Townwomen’s Guild 80th birthday, planted in 2009.”
