WILTSHIRE Libraries are looking for volunteers to help out with this year’s summer reading challenge with the theme of ‘Mischief Makers’.
Wiltshire Council said, “Do you want to further improve your education and employment opportunities? Have you got a few spare hours each week over the summer? We are looking for outgoing and enthusiastic volunteers to support children taking part in the Summer Reading Challenge in Wiltshire libraries from Saturday 14th July to Saturday 8th September.
“This will help you gain experience and skills working with children, achieve accreditation towards arts awards of Duke of Edinburgh awards, adds volunteering to your CV or UCAS application and help to support children and the local community.”
If you are interested, contact your local Wiltshire Library for more information. The minimum commitment is 16 hours over the summer. Parent/guardian permission required for under 18s, minimum age 14.
Contact Melksham Library on 01225 702039.
