Melksham Gardeners’ Society is holding its 12th Open Flower and Produce Show on Sunday 11th September at Melksham Assembly Hall from 2pm to 4pm.
Chairperson Barbara Cropp says, “There are over 80 different classes for you to enter including flowers, fruit, vegetables, photography, baking, handicrafts, preserves and young gardeners (ages 3-8 and 9-15).
“You don’t have to be an expert gardener, craftsperson or cook to enter. Have a go! There is something within each category to suit all ages and abilities, and don’t forget all children who enter will get a small prize for every entry.
“Show programmes and entry forms are now available from the Tourist Information Centre, Melksham Town Hall, Flowers In Focus or on our website: www.melkshamgardenerssociety.co.uk
“The show is open to all members of the public from 2pm with an opportunity to view all the exhibits. The entrance fee which includes a beverage and biscuit is £3.00 for adults with children free.
“Various stalls will also be on display – this is a chance to pick up some lovely items from our stall holders and to get advice on a wide range of gardening matters.
“Show prizes will also be presented at 3.30pm by the mayor of Melksham.”
Exhibitors can access hall from 9.00 am – Class Entrants only from 9.00 am to 11.00am)
