The Melksham Town Council town team will be hosting an extra special Town Tidy event on Sunday 30th June from 1pm-3pm.
The town council says, “The tidy will be focusing on the judging route for this year’s South West in Bloom Competition. The town will once again be going for Gold this year, having received the prestigious award for the last two years running.
“Many hands make light work and everyone is welcome to join in, our Bloom Team and Town Tidy working parties are always happy to have new members, whether it’s every event, or just a one off.
“We will be meeting at the Town Hall and jackets and litter picking equipment will be available for use. Please ensure that you come wearing sensible clothing, and if the weather is good, with some sun-cream too!
“Tea, coffee and cakes will be available afterwards and volunteers can also receive community vouchers, redeemable at certain Assembly Hall events as a thank you for their time. The next Town Tidy will take place on Sunday 7th July as usual.”
